Meet David Cohen

David Cohen LCSW, CADC has been treating people with addiction and mental health issues since 2001.

David serves as the Vice President of Substance Use and Co-Occuring disorders at Insight Behavioral Health. Prior to that he served Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation for ten years as both a counselor and director. He also taught Master’s level social work students in addiction treatment at Loyola University.

He offers a number of trainings and workshops to other health care professionals and the community.

David earned his Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan. He is licensed in the state of Illinois as a clinical social worker and is a certified addiction counselor by the Illinois Alcohol and Other Drugs of Abuse Certification Board (IAODAPCA) and is a board-registered interventionist.

David is a compassionate and experienced therapist, interventionist, educator, recovery coach, program developer and director who has an extensive track record of helping people to engage in the process of recovery from addiction and mental illness.
